A Glacier in Alaska

Glaciers are melting all over the world and I have to wonder what this one looked like 50 years ago. I came aross it midway along a cross-country flight with my instructor as we flew from Atlin, British Columbia to Juneau, Alaska. I was so afraid of the engine quitting in the extreme cold that I became obsessed with applying carb heat. I paused long enough to take this photo.
