I’m currently at work on my memoir Anywhere But Down. After moving alone from Denver to attend flight school in the Yukon Territory of Canada, I’m forced to adapt to a world in which bears rule the food chain and winter temperatures can drop well below -40 degrees.

By the way, let me know if you’ve ever wondered how much a bull moose can weigh. (Hint: slightly less than a 1969 VW Bug sedan.)
